Quantedge Summer 2024 Analyst Recruitment – Operations and Risk – Singapore

The Operations and Risk teams in Singapore are looking for motivated fresh graduates with strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Interviews will be conducted on a rolling basis, with shortlisted candidates invited for a paid three-week assessment in April, May, or June. Following the assessment period, successful candidates will be offered a full-time position in either the Operations or Risk team, with a start date in July/August 2024.

 

Operations Team:

  • Oversee end-to-end trade lifecycle management and settlements

  • Manage general ledger accounting and trade booking processes

  • Monitor invoices and service provider fees

  • Perform valuations for over-the-counter (OTC) and exchange-listed products

  • Reconcile positions, trade details, and cash balances

  • Collaborate with the Fund Administrator on daily, monthly, and annual reports

  • Liaise effectively across internal desks and external counterparties

Risk Team:

  • Implement risk governance framework and enterprise risk management practices

  • Perform internal audits to evaluate and improve business processes

  • Collaborate with the Legal and Compliance team for policy updates

  • Monitor liquidity and manage margin collateral

  • Evaluate counterparty risks, margin calls, trade limits, and position limits

  • Participate in due diligence calls and counterparty credit reviews

  • Prepare and review periodic regulatory reports

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or any relevant field

  • Exceptional attention to detail

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently under time pressure

  • Basic knowledge of financial products and instruments

  • Proficiency in MS Excel

  • Knowledge of VBA and Python programming is advantageous
